Traction Control Issue

When I bought the beast just before Xmas I had not really read up on them all that much, especially when it came to tyres. The dealer had replaced a faulty tyre (with a non run flat). As the rear tread  did not match it was bugging me and as the run flat on the rear maybe only had 1 or 2mm left I decided to buy a matching rear tyre. All done looking good and liked the comfort of the two non run flats on the rear. Three days in the traction control starts flashing every time I came out of a corner and straightened up.
Back to the dealer I go (now in my last month of warranty) he tells me it is probably because I changed the tyre. But I only changed for the same tyre you already put on the car I say. Tech due to look at it today. The Tyre was listed on Oponeo as a fit for the car, what do you think is he bulls@iting me? Might I have a bigger problem?

First of all the dealer shouldn't have put a non runflat on the same axle as a runflat, that's ilegal, and an MOT failure.
Having Runflats on the front and non Runflats on the rear has caused others on here bad handling issues. You can get away with mismatched tyre depths on the same axle as the diff compensates for that more than differences in front and rear. Treat the car to a new matching set up front and start from there

No not main dealer.

Worried about putting two non run flats on front for it to not work. Guess I will stick two Bridgestones rf's on the back and try to get the dealer to pay for at least one. Think it would be more comfy on non runflats though. Oh what to do??????

I am edging along the lines of a possible speed sensor issue?  Maybe adjustment required?

Think the timing of it is coincedental....

IMHO There would have been more issue wrt the difference in tread depth / rolling diameter from the original set up rather than the issues you are describing now..


Or it could be your right foot is a little eager???  O:-)

Right foot is eager but even Miss Daisy would have it cutting in.
Dealer asked for old tyre back, he wants to match them up to see if it is the tyres. Coming to collect tomorrow. Lucky I kept it.

Well car back home and running great, with two new Bridgestone Run Flats on the back. How sensitive the TC must be. Two non run flat 315x35x20 for sale if anyone fancies.

So I put on two Accelera IOTA XL 315/35 R20 110 W instead of Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport 315/35 R20 110 W and the traction control hated it. Why when the specs seem to marry up according to Oponeo??????????? Had to go back to the Bridgestones for it to run normal again.
