OMG is this the original fuel filter
Re: OMG is this the original fuel filter
It may not have hit the mileage point for changing it......or they didn't bother!

My other car is the wife's mini dooper( it must be mine all she does is drive it!)
Re: OMG is this the original fuel filter
Could be as late as 80k or as early as 50-60k depending upon how it's been driven. If it's been driven gently then it might just be due about now. It isn't unusual to find it hasn't been done though....just like the air filter....as some Dealers know they will most likely get away with it, and Indy's may not even know it's there.
I know mine was not done in the seven years I owned it and did just less than 60k miles. The car still had three 'green' lights (10k miles approx) to the next service - the 4th.

Re: OMG is this the original fuel filter
When things like fuel filters arn't changed it makes you wonder what else goes by the by , when I changed the pollen filter that looked as though it had never been changed either.
Re: OMG is this the original fuel filter
Indeed....and they still charge you up to £200/HR for the priviledge! >:(

Does look original! At least its been changed now! Have you noticed a difference since you've changed it?
Mine seemed more responsive.

This is why I always as for the old parts when getting any work done on any vehicle with any garage.
It used to be that they provided the old parts as a matter of course. My local BMW dealership ignored the request so when I picked up the car I refused to accept it til the guy went and got the parts out of the skip - in his shirt and tie
Whether or not they came off my vehicle I don't know for sure but all the relevant parts were there -pollen filter, fuel filter, breather (that Id changed for vortex) discs, pads and sensors .....

It's the reason why I do all my own maintenance so you don't get your leg lifted.
