:camera:if your wife does short journeys that light can often come on with low battery charge levels. Hope this helps

cheers, it may well have been that.
we have had the battery light a few time also as she likes to sit with the heated seat on and no engine...

it hasn't been up again however so fingers crossed
F15 for the dogs, 996 C4S for road trips, Defender for the mud & E36 M3 for the track

Keep us posted on the matter. Suggest to the wife to keep the engine running if she wants to stay warm. With the battery sensors on this cars if the battery gets low it will cut out less essential items I.e heated window, heat seats etc.

These cars (E70/71) are very heavy on electrical consumption so definitely keep the engine running....or put thermals on.. :).  It can take just 20 minutes to kill the battery to the point where you cannot start the engine.
