Re: e53 headlight lenses
WOW, those replacement lenses look good, and not expensive either ...
BUT,
If any one sees any replacement lenses to fit an E53 facelift from 2004... I'd get a set, as mine are stone chipped and damaged a bit....

Re: e53 headlight lenses
The trouble is the sealant they have used in the headlights to keep the lenses in..
Up to some point in 2003 the sealant could be softened by applying heat and pulling the lenses off gently.
Then they changed it and the only way to get them off is to cut them off.
You may be able to gouge out the remnants but it is not an easy or pretty job..
The opportunity for abismal failure is rife.
I know from experience.. What i thought would be a hour or two turned out to be 3 days in the end...
Cutting around them and re-sealing is probably the only option on later builds.
The build date of the lights is moulded to the casings in a clock like shape...

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)
