Re: wheel spacers
Hi you did get the E70 or F15 ones ? as the cheaper E53 ones dont fit due to different hub !

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
Re: wheel spacers
Hi on the F15 19" the fronts are et37 rears et21 I am not sure what the 18" are but they are usually all the same offset so if they are et48 like the E70 just deduct each number to find the spacer size , again the hub size is 74.1 so remember to order the right one . The Mot now requires that the wheel is inside of the arch so dont be tempted to go too big otherwise it will be a fail . I had the Eibach on mine which the spacer bolted to the wheel then the wheel to the spacer , there are other cheap ones that give you longer bolts but I would steer clear of them as they are putting alot of stress on the bolts which may fracture .
One other pointer my insurance wouldnt cover me due to the spacers , you have to inform them so ask the question first before buying the spacers .
Good luck !

Re: wheel spacers
So in summary, either put up with them looking crap in winter or take the risk of no winter tyres.
I'm hoping this is our third year of the porsche where I have managed to avoid having to buy it winter wheels and tyres.

Re: wheel spacers
Graeme,
I just had the standard BMW 18" wheel tyre combo fitted and they don't look too bad. I couldn't figure out why I'd missed my parking marker on both sides of the car until I realised it was down to the smaller tyre width (255 rears).
Made a huge difference to the snow performance and no noticeable effect on economy.

Vredestein xtreme on the X5 , Pirelli winters on the X1 , save the Summer wheels as well as they seem to wear very little !
Re: wheel spacers
Spot on I will give it a shot planning on keeping the car for while so like you say it will help keep summer 20 s going a little longer
