To confirm, type I is the plug on tje leaf, the type II is the plug that fits a 7kw fast charger. These are the ones that take 4-8 hours to charge depending on whether or not you have a 3.3kw or 6.6kw charger. These machines do not have a tethered cable so you have to carry one if you wish to avail of these. The 50kw Rapid Chargers will give 80% charge in 30 minutes and these do have a tethered cable so no need for carry one for these machines.

50kw chargers.....half the streets lights will be out when you plug in!

As long as I'm sucking juice I'll be happy.

Delivery to Nissan March 3rd  :) waiting for 15 plate.

Now even more of a laughing stock amongst friends, they can't understand why I would want the car, on the other I can't wait to start driving free.

1. Any particular insurer EV freindly more then others? Churchill @ £350 is the current best.

2. Is it a good idea to get GAP insurance? And estimated cost? figure £10k cover should be enough?

We need a Leaf forum, an X5's best friend, BTW I still have my X5 and no intention of getting rid of it.

Collecting the car this afternoon.  Expect lots of hooligan videos of tyre shredding acceleration, cruising down the high street picking up the birds and of course lots of driving through tunnels listening to the beautiful tune of the engine in full song.

That was a quick turnaround from you thinking it wasn't going to be possible.

Look forward to pics

I'm not sure that the rest of your email is factually correct though unless there are many hookers around the streets of Aberdeen ?

Apologies for my absence, been tearing up the Tarmac around these parts.  Car still has loads of charge and enjoying the many gadgets but due to work commitments, I haven't had time to get the head into the books, will do so over the next few days.  Busy day ahead, but hopefully get some night stalking.....sorry I mean cruising in later  >:D
