Picked up a new car for Mrs PVR

Post by pvr » Sun Jan 02, 2011 7:24 pm

After a bit of a delay as I could not fly out due to the snow, I managed to get the car on wednesday. Well, even that was difficult as I ended up on the wrong airport as Plymouth was closed due to fog.

Anyway, got the car in the end and drove it back through the filthy weather hence the pics of a dirty car :)

It is an Abarth 500C with flappy paddles manual gearbox. Great fun :D

Bullethead how eloquent!!! Lol only teasing.

Mrs PVR is one lucky lady. I got one of those blankets that you put your arms through to sit cuddled up on the sofa. Where did I go wrong!!!!

Flappy paddles?

Flappy is the only gearbox available on the convertible. Fiat is not allowed to maintain it - Abarth dealers only, Maidstone the nearest one to me.

Massive waiting list, so dealer in Plymouth could get me one on order from an existing order with 3 months waiting time to a 95% of the spec I wanted.

Mrs PVR had seen one on holiday last year and loved the look, bit like a Fiat 500 on steroids. Lovely sound though, very addictive.

Eloquent :D Silver tongue devil me.. If I'd got Mrs Bullethead a "slanket" she'd have choked me with it ;) Couldn't afford an Arbarth either so she'll just have to be grateful for the CD which she bought for herself and told me it was from me

I had a wardrobe full of jewellery, handbag and other stuff which had been put in there by Mrs PVR she bought for herself for me to give her on Christmas. 'You don't need to buy me anything else" was the line used in November.

Yeah, right ... :)

Nice car BTW.
