newbie.... :-)

Post by richie0270 » Fri Feb 06, 2015 3:38 pm

Hi all,

Wirral based new to X5 owner.

Just picked up my first x5 today, chopped in my old ML320 for it.
I am quite pleased with it so far..

Anyone have any ideas as to how I can find out what equipment should be fitted on my car??

One thing I did find is it has an Aux webasto heater that works... :D

Cheers guys..

Welcome.  As for the equipment, ring BMW GB who may be able to enlighten you.

:hi:

Or put the last 7 characters of your VIN into this website in Germany and your build sheet will come back.

If that one doesn't give you everything then try this one instead.

Well done on a good choice of vehicle  :P

It would do you good to look back over this forum from November to date, as pretty much all of the popular issues were covered....

Popular issues are ... parking sensors, rear air suspension, air pumps & other little sensory or electrical gremlins that may "seem" horrific, but actually most a pocket-money fixes.

These vehicles are absolutely solid,..... but do need care and a little TLC.
Some mechanical/eleccy issues may seem nightmareish to a newbie, but most are actually VERY simple...
and knowledge saves countless £££'s.

You will find the guys n girls here very helpful, and a fountain of knowledge when often the Main Agents will rob you bare or be clueless.

I've owned all sorts before, but gotta say that the friendship and help here is amazing.

Enjoy & be safe.
