Finally Found my X5!! My First
Hi guys, after some hard looking I did find my X5 Thanks to all that assisted me, giving a special thanks to Richard, Justin and Steven , you guys have kindly replied to many of my questions
So in the end, I got a 40D M Sport, Feb 2012 with all the toys I wanted!!! Its got 55k on the clock and it is in pristine condition!! Bought it Private, still a little bit left over of manufacturer’s warranty for which I plan to buy extended before it expires (lower premium)
My most loved features, Comfort Seats (which are so “confortable” !!! ) and Cruise Control with break function, going to London now is such a tireless and exciting ride.
Features included:
Soft Close
Powered Boot Lid
Top View camera + side view ones;
Oyster Nevada Leather
7 Seater
ConnectedDrive (still playing with it, can’t get BMW Apps menu somehow when iPhone is plugged)
Car came with 19”s Wheels. Tyres I am planning to keep, maybe I will change the wheels as I think the M223s are a bit “boring”. Don’t want to go any bigger as I have read 20s are a bit hard and probably won’t be that great when carrying my new born due in March
Impressed with 29mpg on motorways as my 3 series convertible does around 34 (Petrol) .
Planned Mods:
Tinted rear windows;
Install Sideboards
Change wheels
So very awesome car and I can honestly say I am very happy!! And most importantly, wife is happy too ..and you know when the boss is happy…..
Below some snaps I took:
Again guys, thanks for the support while looking! It did help when I negotiated!

Looks very nice mate the interior is stunning thats what I was looking for but settled with grey, jealous! mines a 2009 and the oyster dosnt seem to be about much in the earlier years. Can't say I've seen a m sport with the running boards would be interested in that as I think they look great. The spec sounds great well done!
Re: Finally Found my X5!! My First
Great spec and congrats on both the car and the lovely addition to the fa,ily next month, oh how life will change (again)!?!
Keep the 19's for now, you may grow to like em. The sideboards I believe) aren't available for the MSports... Go with you on the rear tints, will help little one too.
Very nice car again.

I have found the sideboards on eBay wondering if theres a way to fit them on an M-sport?
Again thanks for the compliments!

Re: Finally Found my X5!! My First
Agreed, the wheels look a bit basic for the car. If you have the Msport suspension though probably best to stick to the big tyres and 19's as you say, will help smooth the ride a bit. I have the 20's but don't have the harsh suspension so i find them fine.
29mpg is good, I get 27mpg overall after several thousand miles. When i calculate per tank its almost exactly 27 as well. Long motorway journeys at 75-80mph average speed work out at more, but are soon averaged back down with a lot of town driving. Like you said, my previous 330ci 2002 did 26mpg average so I am very happy.

Smart
My 3.0sd 2008 motorway last journey doing within 10% of national speed limit saw 26mpg on a 200 miles
Do miss better mpg as my 535d on same journey and quicker would see 40mpg

[/quote]I really wanted the 3.0sd but they do seem to be down on mpg compared to a 3.0d.
Just did a trip to Cente Parcs and with a roof box we got 35mpg out of our 3.0d.
