Hi I have noticed over the winter that I have had to top the coolant up about 3 times in 2 months after getting the check coolant warning message, It only takes half a litre at most to top up but does anyone have a handle on the frequency this should be topped up? Is it coincidental that its happening as the Webasto is running a lot more due to the outside temperature? I've never really had to top up on other cars before and I cant see evidence of leaks or oil contamination etc
Cheers

Coolant Top Up Frequency
Re: Coolant Top Up Frequency
I very rarely ever had to top mine up. Maybe once or twice in 5 years.

no haven't checked the base of the tank, just no obvious leaks. Just put 2 and 2 together with the more frequent operation of the Webasto (which I would like to isolate as it kicks out stinking fumes but that's another story)
Will keep looking

It might be worth popping the bonnet as soon as you get home from a decent drive, I had a tiny pinhole leak that I only spotted when doing this, my header tank was starting to fail.
The good news is if is the header tank that needs replacing your only looking at about £40 and 15 mins to change
