COLD FEET - literally... E53 Diesel Sport

Post by X5-D-Sport » Tue Jan 20, 2015 1:19 pm

Guys / Girls...
The warm air blowers in my machine will not direct air... warm or cold to the foot wells...

Any one know of this issue ?

All the other control functions operate perfectly, although, the temperature can fluctuate until the vehicle has been driving a while.... generally gets too hot in there, but re vent controls, all works except directing air to the foot-wells in the front !!!

Help... cold toes...!!!

Pipe off behind the dash?  Could be a stuck flap too.  Is the air coming from anywhere other than it should?

Hi Richard,
No air comes from any where at all.... hot or cold !
Air stops coming out from where it normally goes when the footwell os selected... eg the screen switched off and ddivertes to the footwell.... just that Nothing comes out in the foot well !!

And at this time of year the olde toes are turning blue lol.
Regards

Sounds like a flap is stuck shut - no idea how you get to them, but I know when a fan bearing went on mine they had to remove the dash to get at it.

If it's not raining this weekend, I will have a grovel & see what I can see.
Thanks Richard
