steering heavy

hi all new today just got 03 x5 sport 3.0d steering seems heavy are they all like this

Hi pinky and welcome...they aren't feather like but it shouldn't be to heavy.....have you checked the tyre pressures as if they are a liitle low this woluld cause heavy steering.HTH

The PAS on my E53 is pretty heavy compared to some other cars I've had, and certainly compared to the Servotronic steering on my new X6. A quick check of your PAS fluid levels may give an indication fhat you need more or not. On my 05 the reservoir is on the right side of the engine bay.
