Paint Colour

How do you tell the exact paint colour? Mine seems black but got a dark blue purple tinge to it.

Sounds like carbon black to me that has a blue tinge to it,  put the last 7 digits of your vin number in this site and it will give you the factory spec of your car and will say the colour on there

If it's a purple tinge then that is likely to be Ruby Black.  A rare but great colour.  Nearly had it on my X6.
