Brake pad replacements

Just checked my adblue level & service details, big shock as the onboard service indicator tells me that the brake pads front & rear are to be replaced in another 7k miles, it's only done just over 8k! So that means they need changing at 15k miles, this is my 6th bmw with condition based servicing or whatever the term is, the brake pads on all the rest, including my x5 e70 that I traded in for this around a year ago, had around 40k miles between changes, the brake fluid won't even need changing until 2017! This must be set up wrong? Anyone had to change their brake pads at 15k miles?
