'11 E70 40D: Can't find a previous reference to this, but am sure it's a common need: having had my iPod stolen from the car, I'd rather play back audio from a memory stick plugged into the slot in the glove compartment. I can find out how to import files from it to the car's hard drive (shows 12.5GB of available space), but I'd much rather play directly from the (32GB) USB stick.
Anyone found out how to do that?
Thanks

Playback from USB stick
Re: Playback from USB stick
Plug it into the USB port in the centre console and look for 'External Devices' in the CD menu. The glovebox one should work too though that's normally for copying the data to the hard drive.
You can also stream via Bluetooth from a phone/iPod

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Hi Richard - tried that, no joy Manual says glovebox only. And yes, I can stream via bluetooth, but trying to avoid that.
