Can you identify these modules and mystery cables?

Post by biggeek » Sat Jan 10, 2015 11:39 pm

Hello

I have recently ripped out my 16:9 headunit, MKIV Sat/Nav, DSP amp, Bluetooth module, radio module, GPS module, Alpine Dvd player, media gateway and the kitcken sink  :) which I have replaced with an Andrive AN-53. I see this as a one way trip (The harness has been cut,Gulp!) and would like to remove any other redundant units but I am not sure what these modules are. Hopefully one of you guys or  gals can help me with identify these:

I also have two rear Alpine TV screen which plug into a Alpine tme-780 module. I would like to get rid of this but the din connector looks rather small and fiddly so I will keep it until I spot some touchscreens that look like factory units.

I found some original cables and extensions on ebay so hopefully I can get this module relocated to the rear section as it was tucked under the rear carpet before and the existing power connection looks dodgy

I am also planning to add a reverse camera and have seen some post that say this plugs into the tv module but I believe that is for the factory setup. Is this correct?

The Andrive unit has an RCA connection for reverse camera so this should be fine....I actually have plugged in a composite lead and the screen goes blank when I put the car in reverse which looks like I am just missing the camera and the power connection for it. :ok:

Can you also help me identify what this cable could be used for? Looks like it taps into the reverse or brake light near the roof.

Black one looks identical to my Webasto remote unit - certainly that's the OEM location for fitting it.
