Condensation on the windows inside???

Post by Watford1976 » Thu Jan 08, 2015 9:09 pm

Hi all and happy new year!

Just wanted to check if anyone has the same problem as me... It's really minor but is bugging the hell out of me.

In the early mornings or early evenings when it's cold, the internal windows get steamed up with condensation, especially the front and back, I,ve not noticed this on other cars I,ve owned.... Really frustrating when I see other people get in to cars and drive off straight away, I have to wipe the windows and put the heater on for 5 mins first

Any ideas?

I would check all your carpets to see if it is wet anywhere, I've had it before years ago with cars that leak in. I get it still if get into my van with wet clothes. :)

May be stupid but park at 90 degrees (just for my idiot idea). I found the car parked outside the house on some mornings would do this - put it in the drive (90 degrees) with the sun ready to blast the car first thing and nothing. Obviously depends on the weather - and sorry this sounds so bloody stupid.

Do check the obvious though - there could be something wet in the car, helping create the condensation in the first place. Try my idea when you're pissed!

Have you checked your drain holes?

I have just today cleaned my Corvette ones and could not believe the gunk that has accumulated in there.
