HELP . . . . Automatic BLUE web-links

Post by X5-D-Sport » Tue Dec 23, 2014 2:00 pm

Whenever I view this site, any postings I open have endless little bits of text in BLUE that are underlined and are themselves a link to some other buggers advertising..

Any ideas how I can get rid of this, or turn it off.... I just want to read the postings here, not to be led to Tesco or some one elses advertising links ??

I'm wondering if it's my computers settings doing this ??

I don't see anything like that on any of my hardware.

Make sure you are not running anything like an add on 'toolbar' in your browser.  Various ones from Bing, Google, Yahoo and worse can be installed as part of 'bloat ware' offers.  I only use the standard Firefox versions and never allow any others to be installed or run.

:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

You have probably downloaded some software that was free from there site, unfortunately they add on little advertisement programs that run in the background and keep popping up on the screen.
Either get a tablet, or look in add remove programmes to delete the offending programs
