Post by chelsea » Wed Dec 10, 2014 7:28 pm

Hi all,
my mates having trouble with his key fob, he's changed the battery and it will open the boot but will not open the doors remotely, he only has the one key so any suggestions are welcome.
Many thanks....

Hi Chelsea,

Will be interested in any comments on this as mine just started doing the same thing, both keys.
I am not convinced its the batteries, its too co-incidental - so my thinking is perhaps the antenna (located in the roof I think) may be the culprit ?

be interested to hear other peoples comments on this :)

Thanks

Ro.

Something similar Happened to mine when the battery died - car forgot both keys, all buttons. None of the buttons worked only manually opening/closing doors etc worked.

Found and did the key reset procedure in here - worked a treat, all back to normal.

Do a search, if u can't find It ill see if I can.

My key died, so I replaced the battery, done the reset, but now my working key is dead, did it again with new is not working! Bizarre. Its like Only one of the two keys will work at a time!

You have to do both in sequence at the same time

+1 follow the procedure in the manual, both keys have to be done within a set time or only one key will work, slightly different procedure for the second key, so read the instruction well
