Driving down south
Driving down south
My god wish I had brought the x5 the extra muscle would allow me to barge out pull out squash against the central reservation and generally be pretty ignorant

Hmm - I feel less hassled in the X5 - I try not to intimidate others either.

Re: Driving down south
Guess it's just a different driving style down here as they will never come across you again so who cares

Re: Driving down south
It is definitely far less 'pleasant' in and around London, especially on the M25, and I have noticed a steady deterioration in driving standards and courtesy over the last 10-15 years. Everyone seems to be in a tearing hurry to get somewhere and heaven help you if you get in their way - regardless of what you (or they) drive. And the density of traffic has rocketed too which doesn't help, but there is no real alternative transport.
I used to have to drive to Uxbridge - about 70 miles, 40 on the M25 - and I could get to Manchester quicker yet that is 100 miles further!! The M6 was usually a bit of a mare but otherwise it was a pretty good experience and drivers were generally well behaved, unlike the ones going south from here.

You have to be a real man to drive down here, we don't have time for incompetent ditherers.
My other office is in the west end parallel with Harley street.
Driving there is just survival of the fittest.
I also believe the outside lane ( the fast lane) should not be occupied by any car that takes longer than 5 seconds to get to 60.

I quite like the flow and relative awareness on M23 southbound.
