UK Air Traffic visualisation.
UK Air Traffic visualisation.
One for the pilots, aviation enthusiasts, or generally interested.
Virtual 3D movie of 24 hours of Air Traffic ove the UK derived from radar data used by NATS (National Air Traffic Services) systems. Shows all the major airports and even the oil rig stuff (just for you Don). It's actually quite beautiful.
Enjoy......UK 24 NATS.
There are others covering Europe and the Atlantic on YouTube (NATS).

Give me the date that was captured and I could give you just that.
I don't know why, but the AS332L2 doesn't show up on Planefinder even though we use transponders transmitting in 'S' mode. Must be a digital thing.

Re: UK Air Traffic visualisation.
You need to be in range of an ADS-B ground receiver. If someone puts one in on a rig then they'll show up. The system I monitor has its own network of receivers and will install additional ones where there are gaps.
They do show up when closer to Aberdeen/Dyce, just not out over the wet stuff, because you fly too bl@@dy low!

Maybe it was the Santa Flight and it's random path that caused the issues?

Re: UK Air Traffic visualisation.
Well it was an 'unexpected fault condition' so maybe Santa was on a test flight with a dodgy flight plan..... )
