Guys, I have got myself a scanner 1.4/PASoft and am aware of a couple of issues with the car, but also aware that the scanner may report historical data, therefore whats the best approach when using the scanner. Is it best to clear all the error codes, drive around for a while and then run a error scan? Does the "Clear DTC" clear all errors?
Also, within PASoft, why are they 2 error columns? and you also have "faults currently present" and "faults not currently present" are the "not currently present" historical faults? and if so, how do you clear them to get a level playing field?

Note the faults that are there then clear down.
And yes you are right, 'Fault Present' means it is there now, 'Not Present' means they have been recorded in the past/since last clearance. Many are transient and often caused by bad battery.
