frustrated with cel

Post by bc1987 » Wed Dec 03, 2014 9:56 pm

Hi all.
got in my car today and the cel was on.
car drives fine so assuming O2 sensor or egt either way want to reset to see if it is a one off.
I hooked up a bluetooth elm code reader to the car but it doesn't seem to read the ecu.
is there a way of manually resetting it?
Also would my lpg conversion mean my obd port would stop working?
Cheers
b

Dont think the ELM units work with the E53...
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Replaced the cam sensor and seems to have fixed codes but now runs a bit rough. Any ideas?

Part and parcel of having lpg. If the gas and petrol are not in perfect harmony, eventually the fuel trims will creep until they reach the limit and you get a misfire with associated CEL or an out of range fault. Either get the adaptions reset using inpa or similar then run it around just on petrol for a while and then get the LPG setup properly.
