Hi all this is my first post..thanks in advance i have a 08 x5 3.0d e70 thats returning around 22.5 mpg around town is this the norm ?the car has just had oil and air filter done and has 64k on the clock full bmw history.

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum, I can't remember exactly what I got out of my X5 but that sounds about right for town driving. Post some pics if you get a chance!

And yes that sounds about right depending upon the engine version (single or twin turbo).  Stop start traffic will wreck your mpg.  Allow 25-30% lower than 'official' figures as those aren't worth anything in the real world.

Ok thanks for the reply thought as much ..re map looks like the answer as its only the single turbo
