Had Inspection 2 done today. Car has done approx 130k now and I decided to use my local mechanic. One man band but sensible guy who has been working on cars for many years. He has £5k worth of diagnostic kit albeit he can't code stuff. Recently found him when be got me out of a problem with a split hose at short notice.
Car went in to him for Insp 2 and brake fluids today. Apparently one if the spark plugs was seized in and there was some concern it might not budge. That was sorted once engine was warmed and anti seize spray used.
I now have self lev suspension inactive message on dash.
No idea why - I am popping back tomorrow.
Not best timing - the Z3 just serviced (by me) but has been misbehaving, just had leaking rear window sorted but it has abs sensor issues and a couple of other issues.

Just the message I take it and not the car looking odd?
Perhaps try the old battery reset.

Re: Insp 2 today.... Stuck spark plug now self level suspension inactive message
Yes message only. The peake code reader not showing any codes albeit I accept it is not the ultimate diagnostic tool.
I want to leave it as it is for now. I have restarted the car several times but to no avail sorting this. Also tried lock to lock on steering albeit that normally only works for warning lights and steering angle sensor.
If met with blank face after he looks it over I will try a battery reset. Is there a time window for this...ie 15 or 30 mins ? Not familiar with the procedure and haven't studied posts re same in past.....didn't want to tempt fate !
