What £1k grant for charging system? Thought it was just a 13 amp plug jobbie?

You can use a standard three pin plug with charging taking around eight hours. With the wall mounted charging system you get a faster charge, around three hours. The fastest chargers are found at commercial sites, such as motorway service stations and supermarket carparks. These can give an 80% charge in as little as 30 minutes.

Come on, it's a BMW! It'll be a Euro plug.... )
Seriously though, you can have a 15kW charging system point installed (and a local power station at a guess!).
