TPMS vs Tyre Gauge

Post by bobgolden » Fri Nov 28, 2014 8:29 pm

After a short journey yesterday, I got the TPMS warning. Checking the pressures via iDrive, all 4 tyres were the same level below the recommended settings, which is obviously temperature related since I last checked and initialised the pressures in September. After topping them up and reinitiallising the system, the iDrive showed pressures that were exactly 0.1 bar below my gauge on all 4 tyres. So my question is which do I trust ?

The gauge is a halfords digital variety that came top in class for accuracy a couple of years ago and has been a pretty solid performer up to now.
