Telestart for webasto aux heater......key fobs?

Got my aux heater working now thanks to much help from here (cheers lads), im now going to try and fit a remote for it!....get ready for another question nightmare everyone ::)

Ok been on ebay and I can buy audi telestart with lcd screen etc, would this work with the bmw?
I am aware I can go to maplin and get there generic one etc but the timer set ones like the audi one seem quite interesting.....any one ??

I don't think the higher spec VAG units have full functionality with the older bus system in the E53.

This is what I have (T91) it has a range of 1KM, you can set how long you want it to run for (increments of 10min) and it has a report back function (led flashes on the fob to show it's operating).

It's plug and play - the plug is factory fitted for the remote near the spare wheel well in the E53 and you'll have a fuse in the fusebox labelled "remote" for it.

You can search eBay fir a cheaper seller or piece one together yourself but service from Carsystems is very good and they're helpful.

no point in buying everything separate off ebay as it either comes to the same price ish or dearer so will order the kit from car systems
