E53/E70/E71 Big Brake Kit

Post by Raj » Tue Nov 11, 2014 9:27 pm

Well, after much pondering I've decided to remove a few of my mods. My wife is gonna have the X5 (minus a few mods at her request) as I'm planning a new little project.

So these bad boys are up for sale.

They are made by PB Brakes and have many superb reviews and brand new cost in excess of £3k.

I have a new set of front pads as part of the sale and have the rear E70/71 brackets (hence they are compatible with the E7* fitment).

They are still currently on the X but will removed as soon as required.

There really is loads of life left in the discs and pads tbh so you would easily get 15k miles use if not more.

Specs:

8 pot fronts with 405mm floating discs
6 pot rears with 380mm floating discs
Braided hoses all round
New front pads (boxed)

You do need a minimum 20" alloy to clear the fronts (they really are that big).

To say they stop well is a true understatement. They are phenomenal.

£1650 gets em.

You should just buy the brakes and not worry about my wheels lol

They'll suit the X6 and are an added safety feature (to sell it to SWMBO)

You think it stops plenty quick until you try the big brakes and then you know what brakes are .
And try putting it in gear before you hit the gas , that way you won`t redline it  :P

A tempting offer, but as I use 19" during the winter I'm just going to have to watch and see who gets them with envy.  :(
