Vibration through car when going over 50mph.

Post by AmyMcD » Sun Nov 09, 2014 4:09 pm

Quite noticeable when driving at speed. Wondering if due to needing wheels rebalanced or new tyres. Has anyone else experienced this?

Try for re balancing first. Helluva lot cheaper than replacing four boots  :'(

I had that problem on my E60 530i. They put it on a 2 poster ramp, told me to stand at the back of the car whilst they spun the wheels by hand, 3 rims were buckled by the Runflats. Hope that's not your problem. As said try a rebalance first.

Some kwikfit shops have the four wheel laser alignment tool now. We took the SLK to one in leeds and all sorted for £45. Afraid of what they might make of the neg camber on the x though, but going to have that chat soon.
