I am thinking about a DTUK for my F10 535D 313 ps. However it puts the torque to 740nm which i am worried because the gearbox can take a maximum of 700nm.
What do you all think ?

DTUK have a very good product on offer if I remember correctly.  It sits inline with a few sensors, those being:

MAF
MAP
Boost 1 and 2
And fuel Rail

So its not your standard plug and play resistor, its avery clever bit of kit. I would certainly call them up and see what they say, I would be surprised if they were not aware of the limits of the box etc.

I have spoke to them and they are aware that the gearbox can stand the power however they seem to think that loads of people have over 700nm of torque and dont have any problems. Still doesn't make me confident about buying one.
I have heard loads of great reviews about them on modern, expensive and fast cars.

Plug and play wont invalidate warranty, remove before attending dealership.  There was lots of talk as to even plug and plays being picked up via ecu and flagging a code! but I'm yet to hear 100% fact true account of this affecting a warranty claim etc!!

How do you propose I do that

Based on a remapper that was thinking of going from tuning cars to becoming a professional 'witness' for warranty and insurance companies to help prevent fraudulent claims.

It's very easy to add a function into the ECU or other fault logging that notes the changes in any parameters.  Same as remaps will change the checksum log away from that recorded by the OEM and why they get overwritten.

Oh dear, another antagonistic thread.  Believe what you do or don't want.  If you want proof, go ask BMW - assuming they'll tell you.

Have a nice evening.......
