Very simple but effective, thanks for sharing.
I must see at least 3 people using their phones whilst driving every time I'm out
[/quote]
I also see far to many people using their phones on the move. I saw an idiot using one the other day while driving his £100k AM. Although I don't know if Bluetooth is standard or not on these cars, but why would you spend this much money on a car and not have Bluetooth?

Re: VW Ad
Same as buy BMWs and Audis and Mercs and don't buy it! In this day an age it really should be standard across all cars. Many cheaper brands include as standard across many models from range toppers to their super cheap ones.
Other manufacturers are just plain greedy and charge.
The EU ought to mandate it as part of new car approvals.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
Re: VW Ad
Frustrates the hell out of me. Had a full fat RR driving behind me a few days ago, and the guy was holding his mobile right next to the steering wheel whilst texting.
Felt very uncomfortable each time I needed to brake as I was not sure that he was looking at the phone at that precise moment.
Absolute madness to me.

Re: VW Ad
I was in Singapore in the 90's a guy in front was on his mobile, a motorcycle cop pulled up beside him tapped on his window and took his phone. My driver told me that if that happened you didn't get it back. perhaps once people have lost all their contacts a couple of times it may be more effective than a fine or points??
Text is a different matter and personally I think far more serious problem even in car systems accept text which just encourages people to read and respond on the move, let alone being followed by a plank reading from his mobile no matter what they are driving.

Even the E53 would display the SMS messages of my original Nokia 6310, not bad considering how long ago that was.
Not sure when you would use it though ...
