Blackberry 8310

Post by phill » Thu Dec 23, 2010 11:13 am

I am thinking of getting a Blackberry 8310 for the X5 (E53), I have checked with BMW and they do a snap fit cradle that fits in the center console. The question is does anybody have this phone and cradle and how are they finding it - regarding the Bluetooth function and are there any modifications to the center console to make it fit, as the phone looks wider than the space in the console. I already have a cradle in the car but it is for a Nokia 6310i (I think).

Cheers

I have the 8900 in the cradle, which I think is the same size. It is tight, so you have to lock the phone before putting it in as otherwise the convenience button will get pressed (in my case the camera) when you put it in.

Sound and all other functions are fine.

Do you mean that the 8900 fits into the 8300 cradle or is there a 8900 cradle that I have not found??

Ok, I was just stating that the cradle will be similar.I will borrow a 8310 to see if it fits (i.e. I just bought one for my daughter for Christmas :) )
