Well: Car is home.... 3hr drive from Elgin to near John O' Groats and averaged 44.5mpg, so quite happy.
That gives a full tank range of c. 650mls. Not too shabby, although I did drive partly like a pensioner.... lol
Now to have a good read of the owners manual, and get familiar with the Hill descent, parking assistance thingy etc.
Oh, and see about getting a re-map to increase both performance & economy, if possible. Anyone recommend a good specialist for this in Scotland?

Re-map is very worthwhile with the 150bhp 2.0d. It makes it more drivable and smoother. I had mine done a few months ago and whole heartedly recommend it.
The first thing you should do is the swirl flaps. This was mine @45k

Then either check the fuel filter or get someone else to. They are a pain to change so a lot of dealers/garages claim its been changed but don't.
It is date stamped.
If you look in the X3 section there are few other things like:
Oil separator, If you have the toilet roll change to a Vortex

Did you get the blanking plates from PMW? Are they 22 or 32mm?
Must get this done asap. car has just turned 42k mls, but I'd feel happier with the valves gone.
Thanks for the link: I'm confident I could do this myself.
Cheers
