X6 'M Performance' 50d
X6 'M Performance' 50d
Hi Guys.
After having already owned some nice cars for my age (24), I have to say that I have not driven as good an all-rounder as the X6 M50d, and is probably my best car yet all things considered (considering i've previously had things like Jaguar XF-R and Merc CL63 AMG!).
I've had the X6M50d for a month now, and i'm very impressed. It has so much grip, buckets of torque, an excellent gearbox, the steering feels lovely and I absolutely love the bulge on the bonnet.
I personally find it to be a lovely shaped car, despite what many motoring media say! I've also noticed that many people on the road feel envious.
My Dad previously had a X6 30d for a while - which was also excellent to drive on the occasions that I drove it, but my inner child strongly suggested that I should go for the most powerful diesel available.
I also used to have a BMW X5 (2006, E53) Le Mans Blue, which was very nice - but of course, doesn't compare.
Sunny.

You and I are in the minority re. the shape I think! I like the shape, but overall I think the car looks much better in lighter colours (hence why mine is white); that disgusting brown colour they used for the pre-launch publicity shots was horrific and put me off a bit. It's my first BMW and I'm loving it, although it was a compromise as I wanted a new RS6 but the wife wanted a "high up car". Will maybe look at the proper petrol X5M in a year or so. Your X6 is a cracking looking motor.
