Andrive AN39 Android Media System

Post by dobbor1 » Wed Oct 15, 2014 3:57 pm

Due to an upgrade I now have my Andrive EN-39 for sale.
It's only 18 months old and is in very good condition.
Comes with a screen protector already fitted.
All boxed up and includes all standard wiring/cables except the Digital TV Aerial which can be purchased quite cheaply.  For full spec see the link here http://www.andrive.co.uk/android_bmw_e39.php
It will fit an E53 X5 or 5 Series E39 model.  If you have the standard business CD/Radio then it is a direct plug and play replacement with the harness behind the dash.  If you have the OEM Nav then you need the 5m Fakra cable to run to the boot as per this link http://www.andrive.co.uk/store1/index.p ... duct_id=66

Loads of Info on this system on this forum and on the 5 Series forum.

I am looking for £300 delivered.  PM me if you are interested.

Did this stop the OBC working, would it be plug and play on the business tape/radio unit and does it have NAV software loaded on it.
Cheers Chris

Hi Chris,

The ODB is lost with this unit, however, what most of the guys have done is to re-route the few wires from the back of the BMW unit into the glove box.  I just pop the heater controls now and again and connect the original radio control to amend the time or reset the trip etc.  I can provide the unit with IGO Nav (Uk and Ireland) with maps on an SD card if you wanted it. I think it does replace the tape/radio system as well.  The OEM multi plug should be the same. But I will check.

No worries. I have just spoken to Phil from Andrive and he confirms it will fit  the tape/radio arrangement.
I have it for sale on Ebay too.

No biggie re-routing the cables (easier with an OEM nav unit as the connectors are different).

Damn this house build...  >:(

I extended 5 wires and re attached the MID unit in the glovebox when I wanted to rest the MPG time etc.
Facelift and preface lift have different quadlocks, make sure you get the correct harness to fit yours.
If replacing the MID Business single cd set up its plug and play if you have the correct harness, you may have to do a little cutting of the dash, sure there's a detaled how too. Didn't Dobber 1 do it, or was yours a sat Nav original car?
My Dynavin came with both pre and facelift harness adapters, maybe the Andrive does as well.

Edit. Keep you busy for a while. http://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/index.php/t ... 38.60.html
