Post by rangechange » Sat Oct 11, 2014 11:25 pm

hi all
im a new owner of a E70,i was wondering if the E70 has any problems with the motors that move he steering wheel because in the past I have owned a Toyota amazon which had problems with the motors, they only lasted about 18 month before they packed up and was wondering if the BMW has any issues with reliability with them

thanks in advance

Mine were still fine on the E53 after 6 years and my X6 ones are fine at 4 years.

I wish there was a way of disabling these motors. [Temporarily]...
Im sick of the wheel moving out of the way, [ actually it gets in the way], every time i take the key out.... ::) ::)

Ask your dealer?  There might be a fuse too, but that may take other bits out too.
