Winter Tyre Update

Post by CondorX5 » Fri Oct 10, 2014 9:47 am

I added a post to the Winter Tyre sticky in General, but thought I would just update here too for people hunting for winter tyres -Tyreleader.co.uk (Germany based) seem to have the best prices and deals on winter tyres at present - the 255/55R18 Tyres as recommended by BMW for the 4.8is are readily available from them, free delivery via DPD and cost for Vredestein Wintrac Extremes was £117 each, delivered. I ordered Monday night and received 3 yesterday, the 4th out for delivery in a one hour timeslot this morning.

They also have very reasonably priced steel wheels for those with second cars / runarounds wanting winter tyres - they are about £30-ish each, free delivery. I bought a set for our Renault Kangoo 2 with 4 winter tyres for under £300.  Was going to have a rusty old set of steel wheels refurbed but at a cost of around £30 per wheel it makes no sense to shotblast and respray the old steels.
