self levelling susp inactive help needed cheshire

I currently have my 2002 4.4i x5 off the road while I am working my way round a number of jobs on it, and one of them has been a rear spring conversion. I now have the self levelling suspension inactive message showing. Is there anyone in cheshire who could code this out for me in exchange for some beer tokens, as i personally am useless with computers and would probably wreck it if i tried.

His car is showing the SLS inact message on cluster,tried to scan the car for errors but none were reported which sounded strange as the car is sat flat to the ground.
From reading on here that the height switch on the right of the steering wheel is also not illuminated pointing to the possible control module fault,this part being lots £'s so I have concluded it would be far more cos effective to do the conversion to springs rather than spending £'s on one part and to find another has failed.
So can someone recommend the conversion needed,I have some coding experience with NCSexpert but would like to code the SLS inact message out.

Just to confirmed the module is located behind the glove compartment and from looking at fleabay there doesnt seem to be availble compared to the only rear suspension modules.

Just to confirmed the module is located behind the glove compartment and from looking at fleabay there doesnt seem to be availble compared to the only rear suspension modules.

When one of the airbags went on mine which forced me to do the initial air suspension replacement I remember removing the module as was looking to sell any components that were working to cover the conversion costs. But as soon as I pulled it and started it up I had the DSC/4x4/etc lights all come on on the dash and couldn't code em off etc. hence the assumption the module controls (or is used by) the other systems.

Didn't you do the conversion on your all air suspension X5 Raj,from the above post you kept the original module and coded out the suspension checks?

Yes I have kept the module as you have to. But mine is fully working so the coding out is the softer errors which get thrown up from the initial start up of the system etc. I've kept the level sensors also for this reason because if the rear is loaded up or one of the senors is showing a height difference across axle or something I still get errors displayed but can ignore them. But when the module was pulled you get DSC and 4x4 errors that can't be coded out.
The display error is coded out from the initial check control and as long as the X sees the correct ride height from the sensors it thinks the system in essence is still working to an extent so doesn't display. But as soon as it thinks there's a more fundamental issues with the remaining components it's throws it up to the dash etc and pings away constantly.

Been following the chatter here.... very interesting, as I have a few level sensing warnings come up occasionally..
Switch off & restart - all gone for a few more weeks..
I have a few weeks off work, and getting all my pre-winter jobs/servicing done, as I don't want to do jobs in the frost and rain of winter if possible.
Questions...
Are the air bags handed ?
Is it worth getting a spare pair or single if they are the same ?
Is it worth getting spare sensors / modules if these items are as unreliable as it seems ?
How much are these parts new / used ?
How much does a Coil-Over-Shock conversion cost, and is the ride as good / better ?
Thanks in advance on this.

Bilstein now does a kit for about the £800ish mark but isn't a coilover kit. It consists of a set of Bilstein shocks with Eibach springs.

Raj,many thanks for the link what's involved in the conversion don't seem to find any diy's?
From what I have learnt after swapping the air suspension parts to structure & shocks,coding out the SLS checks would it be good practice to do a full 4wheel geometry alignment?
