bmw scanner

Post by rodg98133 » Mon Sep 29, 2014 5:30 pm

Been looking at the bmw scanners on ebay but they all seem different prices. Are they all different?
What do I need to run it? Is it easier to run on xp if I use an old laptop?

If you're talking about the 1.4.0 scan software with the cable and OBD II connector, I concluded that they were all the same despite prices ranging from $20 up to $160. I just bought a cheaper option from a seller with good rating.

From what I've read, a laptop with XP is preferable.

i'm a bit new to BMW's scanning and programming tool (having owned Audi's for past no. of years :))... will this tool give you an option to program some modules such as remove seat belt 'chime', PDC etc?
