drivers seat not working forwards and back

As per title really. My drivers sear will adjust every way except forwards and backwards. I have had a look underneath and narrowed down which motor it is. I unplugged it and tested for voltage when the switch is opperated and it gets voltage so im assuming the motor is dud?

Is there any way to test the motor? Can I get it off without removing the seat? What are the other 2 wires for? Anyone got a wiring diagram for them?

Have been looking into this but a problem I have is the seat is stuck in a position which covers the bolts to remove the seat. Any way to manually slide the seat otherwise I have no idea how to get the bolts out.

Try applying 12v directly to the motor, and also supply a separate earth for the motor, perhaps from a separate battery. If it then works, the problem must be with the wiring to the motor...
