Headlight adjusters

Post by Riggie » Fri Sep 26, 2014 6:19 pm

Recently acquired an AUC 35d which unfortunately does not have xenons. I have been spoiled by them in my previous F10 but knew that the halogen E70 ones were less that good.

I thought that by adjusting them up a bit it might help and did so with the offside headlight, but the nearside adjusters are just turning with no effect on horizontal or vertical movement.

I spoke to the workshop controller at my local dealers and he said if the adjuster was broken internally it would be covered by warranty, as it is a manufacturing fault. Its going in next week to check.

I remember having a similar problem on one of my E39s. Has anyone experienced this on an E70 and are the adjusters repairable or is it a new headlight?
Thanks
Andy.

Fit a set of HID 's bulbs, they are as good as factory Xenons, less than £100 and you will be sorted, do a search on the Forum

Done that, it doesn't make the headlight aim any better unfortunately :)
