bootlid open error

Post by rodg98133 » Wed Sep 24, 2014 5:07 pm

Right sorted out all my other error messages but just got the bootlid error left.
Where is the sensor located?
Can I bypass it if its a faulty sensor by connecting the wires together or breaking them?
Not really got money for a new sensor but its the only error left and its bugging me :)

Where is the sensor - on the top or bottom half or both? I'm new to the car and don't have this issue, but I did notice that on the bottom section, one catch latches very slightly before the other, so if closed by hand at one side, the opposite side may not latch...
