WANTED - E53 X5 (Poss PX swap For Audi S4 4.2 V8 Avant)

18 months after selling my X5 3.0D and picking up a 4.2 V8 Audi S4 Avant, I miss it and want to get back in an X.  The Audi is a truly awesome car, but the load space simply isn't big enough for work, had to make two trips to a show yesterday as I couldn't get everything in, the X5 would have taken it all with ease!

I'm after a facelift E53, either a 3.0i or 3.0d, mileage isn't as much of a concern as history and general condition but ideally would be around 100k or less.  Budget really depends on the car in question, around the £6-8.5k mark.

Thanks, if I can't get a fair price for it I will keep it.  Still want an X5 though, even though my last one cost me a fortune!

If it's more load space you need maybe a decent size roofbox, you've got the roof rails so removing and refitting would be a doddle.
Never driven an S4' but had an 840 CI that's was a great driving experience with a Simular size engine.

Not a bad idea for shows and day to day work, the problem at the weekend was with large canvases, boot entrance just isnt very wide for an estate.  S4 is great, very nimble and easy to drive, especially for a 2 ton car.  Always wanted an 840/50, friend of mine had one which was a complete money pit, put me off a little!

Back on topic, still after an X5, petrol or diesel, I'm based near Guildford but willing to travel for the right car!
