Hi all new by to the x series but a die hard bmw fan and owner , owned numerous m cars and still have a 98 concours m3vert which I love ....
Sad to say that my experience of the 2007 e70 4.8 x5 has not been a good start, raking up to date bills of around 2k in about 5 months and still going ! Hope to find some answers on here ?
Issue I now have is that I appear to have a weird issued with the valvetronic system on bank 2
Originally had errors of 2deb, power management vehicle electrical system
2a6a valvetronic actuator motor 2 power supply
and 2a6b valvetronic power limitation
So had the bank 2 valvetronic motor replaced thought all would be we'll....alas no
Now I get the following
A return of 2a6a as above ...lucky me lol followed by a nice desert of
2a6e valvetronic electric over load protection bank 2
Car runs I at the mo but the engine light comes up then disappears usually within seconds, this continues thought the journey !
At a loss now, and I think my local specialist is equally puzzled .... Any ideas would be great !
Just to give you more back ground tests carried out and work on electrical system are
Batt kept going flat over night , replaced and coded battery think this was £300
Batt still going flat ! Ahhhh found out that drivers side door handle was keeping itself nice and warm all the time so replaced whole door handle think this was about £500
Alternator charging system checked and found to be ok
Battery lead in boot found to be getting crazy hot so replaced and paired to vehicle total bil including investigation nearly £270
Valvetronic motor replaced and paired £ 290
So as you can see my bills just on the electric let alone other costs is just plane daft ! HELP

It well could be vvt sensor. Did garage full calibration using bmw software or autologic?
