Hello all. Do we have any F15 owners who have had to replace tyres yet? I've done almost 12,000 miles in mine and I still have around 5 mm of tread left on all four. I am running with the factory fitted 315/35/R20/110W on the back and 275/40/R20/106W on the front (all Dunlop). Would also be interested to hear about E53 and E70 tyre life...
My old Q7 was about 18,000 miles when I had to first change the tyres (20" Pirelli PZero Rosso), hopefully will be able to beat the with the X5.
What tread depth do you guys typically change your tyres? Around the 2 - 2.5 mm range?
Cheers
Scott

My E53 needed a full set at around 24k from new. Second change was around 50k.
X6 is now on just 16,000 miles and has winters on for part of the year but the tyre wear in the Dunlop RFT Sportmaxx is less than I would have expected. Probably less than 12,000 a set...which at £1200 is not good >:(
I change mine at around 3mm, and usually as a set. It was a habit I got into when working with the Police. They change their tyres at 3mm due to increased risk of aquaplaning.

Aren't you supposed to wait until all the tread has gone and then pretend to be a race driver on slicks?
