Used / Demo Prices

Post by Pyth » Sun Aug 10, 2014 9:13 pm

So I'm trying to get a deal on a used (f15 X5) dealers keep telling me there's no margin in the cars and the prices on the websites are more or less it.  Is this pretty much how it is these days?  True to say that the internet has brought transparency to pricing (my business margins have been hit hard so I do get it) but on a £54K, 5000 mile car is there / should there be a deal to be done ?  Just to make me cry I ran one of the cars through webuyanycar.com and it gave me a price of £37,500 for the car, £18K less than the retail price. I know thats not realistic but makes you wonder. I think I'd rather push a car off a cliff than sell it to those artists ! :))

Anyone got any tips for getting a better deal ? I'm actually getting bored of phoning and emailing round now  :(

Thanks !

Hi look on Peter Vardy they had a new F15 M sport half down , 5 years 0 percent with £4000 off ! 2 months ago
Look at the dealer specials they have them on most of the time .
What specs & model are you after ?
Seems dealers over the border are more willing to deal we got £2000 extra of the wife's X1 plus £1800 more Px

Thanks, I'll get in touch with them.  Didnt see anything on their website but will have a chat with them anyway.

I guess its just a case of knocking on as many doors as possible to find the right car.
