Well here goes, when buying the car the wheels had the "known" centre cap corrosion problem, and as it was outside the 3yrs warranty from new the main dealer told me they could not put in a claim for new wheels.
So the dealer said they would have the wheels refurbed which they did and to be fair didn't look a bad job, but now 5 mths later 2 wheels have gone again which are being done again they tell me.
So I saw the other wheels you see on the net and thought I'll do a deal for those and when the 333m are all good sell them on, the 227 wheels have been refurbed to a high standard but the tyres are as noisy as hell! Dunlop

So I'm now thinking what to do next, ditch the run flats and go for normal tyres or just sell on the wheels I bought last week.
Think they look good on the car and won't corrode, decisions decisions.

The colour on the car looks anything but silver hard to describe really but looks good and had a lot of nice comments about it.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Welcome, and an unusual colour too.  Makes a change from the usual black/white/carbon black etc.

Hi and welcome.  Enjoy your X although I personally think the car looks better with the wheels from the first picture.

Thanks Don, yes I too think it looks well on pre lci rims (I didn't know this until I joined this forum) as new after refurb but the tyres are driving me crazy! :hypo:

They are so noisy it's untrue I thought a wheel bearing had gone but have since been advised it's down to uneven tyre wear, bought the wheels second hand so will be refitting the diamond cut wheels next week for comparison and taking it from there.

Once again thanks for your comments.
