Is there any difference apart from engine output ?,
I got some figures today on the 3.0M Sport, delivery would be early 2015
I'm wondering if its worth the extra for the 40, the 0-62 and top speed are very close ,
Cheers.

Re: 3.0 V 40D Msport
It's all about torque. 40d is (on my version) smoother with the extra torque.

The difference in price isnt huge, so it kinda depends on budget and how important acceleration is to you vs some other extras you might spend the cash on.
I got the 30d because at the time of ordering I would have had to wait a further 2 to 3 months to get the 40d (they weren't released in the first batch) and it would have been difficult, but not impossible to delay replacing my existing car. I made the decision by driving a 30d and finding it quicker than my 4 year old 35d. I decided that that was fast enough for me, especially as I'm usually ferrying passengers who complain at the slightest hint of G force
If i was you though, I'd decide not only by reference to what you are currently driving but by driving both the 30d and the 40d - an option I didnt have at the time. I'm guessing you'll go for the 40
