Thanks for the welcome.

My X5 is a June 2007 3.0d model with aero kit, media pack and comfort seats.......nice car to look at and great to drive, however so far in 3 months ownership the following faults have occurred:
- hand brake module replaced under warranty
- rear brake module replaced under warranty
- had the water lines through the drivers side footwell following discovery of a water leak - moral of the story use additive in the washer bottle water - covered under warranty.
- air con condenser required as the existing one is leaking which is visible at the front of the car when the bonnet is opened - being covered under warranty
- water leaking into passengers side footwell which I have traced to a incorrectly fitted pollen filter cover. Also there is a minor rip in the cover seal which is on order.
- the 6-disc player is not working as it will not light up when requested to load CD's. I have checked all of the fuses in the front and rear fuse boxes, however they are all intact.
- when the car was initially purchased the battery drain warning light ways on periodically, which of course wiped the memory settings all the time. Recently this has stopped as the car is being used quite a bit plus I bought a battery conditioning charger, which seems to have solved things.
- over the last 2 weeks in the morning before the car was started the drivers side rear air bag seems to have deflated and the warning for level control was displayed. So it looks as though the car needs an airbag or there is a leak in the pipe work. Anyway the dealer has been informed and the issue is going to be investigated.

Other than the above I am pleased with the car but it's not the reliability I was expecting of a BMW.

Anyway help and comments would be appreciated plus what other issues should I be looking for before the car runs out of warranty.

Thanks

Len

Sorry to read you are having issues.  Sounds a bit like my Xmas 2004 built E53 which had one annoying problem after another - most minor - but it still spoils the ownership experience.  I did like it as a car though.

Do you have a panoramic roof?  These can cause water ingress to the boot area where many modules are.
